일상의 저항
세상에는 다양한 종류의 저항이 있습니다.
생명이 태어나는 것은 하나의 저항입니다. 무의 상태를 거부하고 유가 되는 것 그리고 중력을 거스르고 일어서는 것, 나아가 움직이는 것은 저항입니다. 우리와 주변의 모든것들은 저항으로 시작되었고 저항하며 살고 있습니다.
우리가 보고 있는 모든 것은 우리의 시선에 저항하고 있습니다. 우리가 물체를 볼 수 있는 것은 그리고 그것들을 구분할 수 있는 것은 물체가 우리의 시선에 저항하기 때문입니다.
저항하지 않는 것은 보이지 않거나 존재하지 않는 것입니다.
전기에서 저항은 빛과 온기를 만듭니다. 전류는 저항을 만나서 갈등을 일으키지만 그 결과 빛과 온기를 만듭니다. 어두운 밤을 밝혀주는 빛과 추위를 잊게 해주는 따뜻함은 저항 없이는 있을 수 없습니다.
존재는 저항을 통해서 표현됩니다.
강물을 따라 흘러가는 모든 것은 강물로 보입니다. 하지만 강물을 버티고 서있는 바위나, 강물을 거슬러 올라 가는 연어는 강렬한 존재감을 가집니다. 이러한 존재감은 이들이 저항하기 때문에 나타나는 것입니다. 강의 물살에 몸이 깍이고, 고단해 질지언정 강에 저항하기 때문에 그들은 그러한 존재감을 가집니다. 예술이나 많은 문화적인 표현에서 우리에게 존재감을 드러내는 것들은 이러한 저항의 산물입니다.
저항은 곳곳에 친절하게도 있으며 과격하게도 있습니다. 우리를 도우기도 하고 우리를 괴롭게 하기도 합니다. 하지만 어쨌거나 그것은 우리에게 살아 있는 느낌을 주는 우리의 한 부분이라는 것입니다.
There are many kinds of resistance in the world.
A new life is born. This is a resistance. Rejecting the state of nothingness and becoming a being, and standing up against gravity, and moving forward, is all resistance. Everything we and around us started with resistance and we live in resistance.
Everything we see is resisting our eyes. What we can see objects and what we can distinguish between them is because they resist our eyes.
Not resisting is invisible or non-existent. To resist is to be seen and to be.
In electricity, resistance creates light and warmth. Current encounters resistance and causes conflict, but as a result it creates light and warmth. The light that illuminates the dark night and the warmth that forgets the cold cannot exist without resistance.
Being is expressed through resistance.
Everything that flows along the river appears to be river water. However, the rocks that stand on against the river or the salmon that go up the river have a strong presence. This presence is due to their resistance. They have such a presence because they are cut to the current of the river and resist the river even if they are in trouble.
Art and many cultural things reveal their presence because of this resistance. Resistance is kind and violent everywhere. They help us and they also bother us. But anyway, it’s part of us that gives us a feeling of being alive.
